Author Fees and Optional Print Copy Policy

No Author Publication Charges

The Dyal Singh Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (DSJHSS) does not currently charge authors any fee for submitting, processing, reviewing, editing or publishing a manuscript.

There is currently:

·        no submission fee;

·        no editorial processing fee;

·        no article processing charge (APC);

·        no publication fee;

·        no page charge;

·        no colour charge;

·        no language-editing fee charged by the journal; and

·        no manuscript-withdrawal charge.

The absence of author fees applies to the journal's normal editorial and online publication process.

Optional Printed Copy

All journal content remains freely accessible online. Authors who wish to obtain an optional printed copy may request one at a cost of PKR 1,500 per copy. This amount includes postage.

Purchase of a printed copy is entirely optional and is not a condition of submission, peer review, acceptance, publication, access or indexing.

Editorial Independence from Payment

No payment for a printed copy, or decision not to purchase one, has any influence on editorial screening, peer review, acceptance, rejection, publication timing or any other editorial decision.

Future Changes

If DSJHSS introduces any author fee or changes its print-copy charge in the future, the change will be approved through the journal's institutional management process and stated clearly on the journal website before it applies.

A new or revised fee will not be applied retrospectively to authors unless the applicable charge and its conditions were clearly disclosed to the author before the relevant service was requested.

Transparency

This policy should be linked prominently from the Author Guidelines and submission area so that authors can determine the complete cost of publication before submitting a manuscript.
