Open Access Policy
Immediate Open Access
The Dyal Singh Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (DSJHSS) is a fully open-access journal. All published scholarly content is made available online immediately upon publication without an embargo period.
Readers are not required to pay a subscription fee, register for access, or obtain special permission merely to read the journal's online content.
Reader Rights
Subject to the terms of the applicable Creative Commons licence, users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, text-mine, data-mine and otherwise lawfully reuse published articles.
DSJHSS applies the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0) to published articles. Reusers must provide appropriate attribution and comply with the licence terms.
No Access Subscription
DSJHSS does not operate a subscription model for access to its online scholarly content. Any option to receive journal announcements or notifications is an alert service only and is not a condition of access.
Printed copies, where available, are optional physical products and do not affect free online access.
Author Rights and Open Distribution
Authors retain copyright in their published work and grant the journal the non-exclusive rights necessary to publish and distribute the article. Authors may also share and archive their work in accordance with the journal's Self-Archiving and Repository Policy.
Permanence of Access
The journal intends that material published as open access will remain openly accessible. Published content is also included in the journal's digital preservation arrangements to support long-term availability.
No Additional Restrictions
DSJHSS does not impose legal or technological restrictions that contradict the CC BY 4.0 licence. Where third-party material included in an article is subject to different rights or permissions, authors must identify those restrictions clearly and obtain any necessary permissions before publication.
Relationship to Other Policies
This Open Access Policy should be read together with the journal's Licensing Policy, Copyright and Author Rights Policy, Author Fees and Optional Print Copy Policy, and Self-Archiving and Repository Policy.
