Ownership, Management, Funding and Editorial Independence Policy
Ownership and Publisher
The Dyal Singh Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (DSJHSS) is legally and administratively owned and published by Government Dyal Singh Graduate College, a public-sector college located at 107 Dil Mohammad Road (near Gawalmandi), Lahore 54000, Pakistan.
Journal Management
The journal is institutionally managed through the College Research Committee.
The Principal, Prof. Dr. Hamad Ashraf, serves as Patron-in-Chief. The Managing Editor is Azhar Munir Bhatti.
Operational editorial functions may also be undertaken by section editors, editorial-board members, reviewers and other persons appointed or recognised by the journal according to their roles.
Funding
DSJHSS is institutionally supported by Government Dyal Singh Graduate College. The journal does not currently charge authors submission, processing or publication fees and does not currently accept paid commercial advertising.
Optional printed copies may be supplied to authors at the separately disclosed cost stated in the Author Fees and Optional Print Copy Policy.
Editorial Independence
Ownership, institutional funding, administrative support or other financial considerations do not determine the acceptance or rejection of individual manuscripts.
Editorial decisions are to be made on the basis of the journal's scope, scholarly quality, peer review, originality, research integrity and ethical requirements.
No author, sponsor, advertiser, institutional official or other external party should be permitted to purchase or guarantee a favourable editorial decision.
Governance and Conflicts
The College Research Committee provides institutional management and serves an oversight role in matters such as formal appeals and journal policy.
Persons with a conflict of interest in a manuscript or complaint must recuse themselves from the relevant editorial or appeal decision according to the journal's Competing Interests and Complaints and Appeals policies.
Future Business-Model Changes
Any future introduction of author charges, commercial advertising, sponsorship or another material revenue source should be approved through the College's journal-management process and disclosed transparently on the website before implementation.
Financial arrangements must remain separate from editorial decision-making.
