Publication Frequency and Schedule Policy

Frequency

The Dyal Singh Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (DSJHSS) is published biannually.

The journal normally publishes:

·        the first issue in June; and

·        the second issue in December.

The journal may announce calls for papers and submission opportunities through its website and official public communication channels.

Submission and Review

Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee publication in a particular issue. Placement depends on successful editorial screening, completion of peer review and revisions, ethical and integrity checks, production readiness and the journal's issue planning.

DSJHSS does not guarantee acceptance or promise a fixed decision time for an individual manuscript.

Review Time

Review duration can vary according to discipline, reviewer availability, manuscript complexity, the need for additional expert review and the extent of author revisions.

If reviewer reports conflict materially, the editor may obtain an additional opinion. Revised manuscripts may require further review.

The journal should communicate significant avoidable delays to the corresponding author and may allow an author to withdraw a manuscript where a prolonged delay makes continued consideration impractical.

Issue Publication

The journal aims to publish complete issues according to its June and December schedule. If exceptional circumstances require a change, the journal may issue an appropriate announcement on its website.

Publication History

DSJHSS has published scholarly content since 2023. Current and previous issues are made available through the journal's online archive.

Article Dates

For transparency, the journal should display the publication date for research articles and, where technically practicable, should also display dates of submission/receipt and acceptance. A revision date may also be displayed where useful.

No Artificial Timetable Claims

The journal will avoid publishing unrealistically precise review or production promises that are not supported by its actual editorial records. Any average processing time stated on the website or in an indexing application should be based on verifiable journal data.
